The English A2 course is flexible and open. The teacher has freedom to choose how to teach selected texts and students have some choice in what to do for their written tasks and in what questions they will answer on the exams.
The course approaches literature via thematic study. We identify themes in the texts we read and connect them to the real world beyond the classroom. Making these connections are essential to helping students understand and integrate information, develop critical thinking skills, and improve their writing abilities in preparation for the IB exams.
